The Zhou IV cachepot is hand-painted porcelain, with floral medallions and scrolling foliage in cobalt blue. It is a cachepot: the plant stays in its own pot placed inside, while the porcelain remains on show.
At 74 cm in diameter and 49 cm high, it is a floor piece for entries, large halls and covered verandas. The size accommodates palms and indoor trees in a large pot.
The Zhou line features a full, cobalt-blue painting: round, medallion-like flowers distributed among vines that cover the whole body. The blue is intense and occupies almost the entire surface, with white appearing in the outlines.
Near the rim, a row of points draws a crown around the piece; at the base, a band of squares closes the design. The wide rim, flared outward, is also painted.
Because it is hand-painted, the linework and placement of the motifs vary slightly from one piece to another.
Before choosing, measure your plant’s pot: it needs to be narrower than the cachepot’s opening, with clearance to insert and remove it without scraping the painted rim.
At 40 kg when empty, it is best to position the cachepot in its final spot before placing the plant. When moving, two people should hold it by the base, not by the rim.
Clean with a soft cloth, dry or slightly damp, and avoid abrasive products and rough sponges that can scratch the painting. Porcelain is hard but does not withstand impact: protect the piece from knocks when moving nearby furniture.
Use a saucer under the plant’s pot so watering does not pool at the bottom of the cachepot. On wood floors, a felt pad under the base protects the surface.
The intended use is as a cachepot: the plant stays in its own pot, with a saucer, and the set goes inside the porcelain. That way swapping plants is simple and watering does not contact the piece.
The cachepot measures 74 cm in outside diameter and 49 cm in height. Choose a pot narrower than the opening and no taller than the rim, leaving clearance to insert it.
It is intended for indoor spaces and covered verandas.
The painting is done by hand, so the drawing has small variations from one piece to another. The pattern, colors and measurements are the same.
