The Han IV Cachepot is hand-painted porcelain, with columns of blue ideograms and terracotta seals. It is a cachepot: the plant stays in its own pot inside, while the porcelain remains on show.
With a 74 cm diameter and 49 cm height, it is a floor piece for entryways, spacious halls and covered verandas. The size accommodates indoor palms and trees in a large pot.
The same painting is available in sizes I, II, III and IV, allowing you to group different heights in a hall or covered veranda.
The Han line covers the porcelain with columns of blue hand-painted ideograms, top to bottom, like a page of calligraphy. Terracotta seals and characters punctuate the field, breaking the blue and defining the pattern from a distance.
Near the rim, blue flowers and foliage form a band around the piece; at the base, a wave frieze completes the design. The rim is wide, turned outward and also painted, and stays visible when the cachepot sits on the floor or on a low piece of furniture.
Because it is hand-painted, the line and placement of the motifs vary slightly from piece to piece.
Before choosing, measure your plant’s pot: it must be narrower than the cachepot opening, with clearance to insert and remove it without scraping the painted rim.
At 40 kg empty, place the cachepot where it will live before adding the plant. When moving, two people should lift it by the base, never by the rim.
Clean with a soft cloth, dry or slightly damp, and avoid abrasive products and rough sponges that can scratch the painting. Porcelain is hard but does not withstand impact: protect the piece from knocks when moving furniture nearby.
Use a saucer under the plant’s pot so watering does not pool at the bottom of the cachepot. On wood flooring, a felt pad under the base helps protect the surface.
Use it as a cachepot: the plant stays in its own pot, with a saucer, and the set goes inside the porcelain. This keeps watering off the piece and makes plant changes easier.
The cachepot has a 74 cm external diameter and 49 cm height. Choose a pot narrower than the opening and up to the rim height, leaving clearance to fit.
It is intended for indoor spaces and covered verandas.
The painting is done by hand, so the drawing has small variations from piece to piece. The pattern, colors and measurements are the same.
