About this piece
Product Information❯

The Shang III cachepot is hand-painted porcelain with blue lotus flowers on a white ground. It is a cachepot: the plant stays in its own pot inside, while the porcelain remains on display.

At 62 cm in diameter and 42 cm tall, it is a floor piece for entry halls, spacious living rooms and covered verandas. The size accommodates palms and ficus in medium to large pots.

The same artwork is available in sizes III and IV, allowing you to group different heights in a hall or covered veranda.

Artwork and Finish❯

The Shang line depicts a pond scene: open lotus flowers, buds, broad leaves and slender stems in shades of blue on a white background. The composition leaves generous white space between the plants, and the blues range from light to dark on petals and leaves, giving depth to the scene.

Fine blue lines outline the piece near the rim and near the base. The rim is wide and slightly flared, with its own blue band that appears when the cachepot is viewed from above.

Because it is hand-painted, the linework and placement vary slightly from piece to piece.

Measurements and Use❯
  • Material: hand-painted porcelain
  • Diameter: 62 cm
  • Height: 42 cm
  • Weight: 28 kg
  • Use: cachepot for indoor spaces and covered verandas

Measure your plant pot before choosing: it must be narrower than the cachepot's opening, with enough clearance to insert and remove it without scraping the painted rim.

At 28 kg empty, place the cachepot in its final position before adding the plant. Move with two people, holding the base rather than the rim.

Care❯

Wipe with a soft cloth, dry or slightly damp, and avoid abrasive cleaners and rough sponges that can scratch the paint. Porcelain is hard but does not withstand impact: protect the piece from knocks when moving nearby furniture.

Use a saucer under the plant pot so watering does not pool in the bottom of the cachepot. On wooden floors, a felt pad under the base protects the surface.

Frequently Asked Questions❯

Can I plant directly in the cachepot?

The recommended use is as a cachepot: the plant stays in its own pot, with a saucer, and the set goes inside the porcelain. This makes plant changes simple and keeps watering away from the piece.

What pot fits inside?

The cachepot has an external diameter of 62 cm and a height of 42 cm. Choose a pot narrower than the opening and up to rim height, leaving clearance to fit it in.

Can it be used outdoors?

It is intended for indoor spaces and covered verandas.

Are all pieces identical?

Each piece is hand-painted, so the artwork has small variations from one to another. The pattern, colors and measurements are the same.

Are there other sizes?

Yes. The Shang line is available in sizes III and IV, all with the same artwork.
